Had mine on a fair few times this week, the air is just too humid to bear even with the windows down, so its a case of windows up and A/C on "LOW" ...ah just like being in the Walk-in fridge at work.Better top up the A/C then haha ;-)

If the weather stays like this it will be, maybe we should consult the weather man...Tim? (but then again is the weather man ever right...cue.Micheal Fish)
Yeah mate you can meet up with us if you like I have to go via M42/M6/M1 to get to Northhampton anyway whewre Grendon Lakes is, as for food you bring what you like mate ...or you starve "simples"
If you want to meet up say at J3 of M42 (think thats the right one for the A34/A3400 Birmingham to Stratford Road) I can meet you and then convoy with you to Grendon lakes, or we could meet up on the M6 at the services? Not sure when Kully & JJ are going or we could meet them too around Rugby. See what route your Sat-Nav sugests to get there from your place, it may take you across country instead via M5/M4/M25/M1 ???
If memory serves me right the first services after the M42/M6 Junction [J7 M42/J4 M6] Corley Services are the best ones to meet at as then you can meet up with people coming from the North via the M6 too (Rich + Ria B, Iain+Mini mofo etc) .Thanks Matt, yeh, Junction 3 of the M42 sounds ok - however, might be better to meet at the services, as I'll be heading up the M5 from Exeter towards Birmingham. Could meet up at the first lot of services on the M42 (M6), as we don't actually touch the M6 so to speak, as I use that motorway when going to Lincoln, so know it well. I'll have a look at the map to see which is the nearest services which would be ideal to meet at. Maybe could hook up with Kully and JJ ???
okay, i've read every single post on this thread and i am gutted that i can't go as i have been grounded, can't have the cougar mot'd and can't renew my car tax, can't drive anything at all. this is really frustrating but i had a heart attack 2 weeks ago and heart surgery 3 days later(stent inserted). i really wanted to go and can't quite believe it, i'm only 46 for god's sake, how dare this happen to me. okay calming down, i will get my license back, i will return to work as a bus driver, my car will get mot'd and it will get taxed and if cougarfest happens next year, i will be going with or without my "i hate camping" wife. make the most of what you've got for however long you've got it, have a good time everyone.

Grendon Lakes is near to Northampton so we have to go to end of M6 and join M1 and get off @ J 15 [A508/A45] so i'm guessing there would be some kind of meet at Watford Gap services on the M1 too??
Oops I ment Junction 4 sorry, I didn't have a road atlas on me at the time when I posted that.
I nthink I'll start another thread anyway as this isn't the convoy thread this is a general thread about why we attend Cougarfest
So what sort of time are people expecting to roll up?
Me and the Mrs have all day off so can get there at pretty much any time, but it wouldn't do to be the first there!
We will be a convoy of two getting there earlier than usual due to me taking friday off
