Anyway back on topic!

Anybody want to do anything or just see how it goes.

Paul, are you taking your flying thingie again or did you throw it away?

I enjoyed Modded Mayhem for it being informal, but i did enjoy the karting at CF and think a bigger group should be up for it this year.

and despite what Maz thinks, Del's card game is the biggest laugh we had at Mayhem and involved so much alcohol it cannot fail to get people drunk! (just ask myself/Maz) :? :? :?

At the end of the day, im there to meet all friends old & new from the club and get extremely drunk doing so

Exactly, have a ball.

Don't have too much organisation. We are told what we can do on a day to day basis by the current turd at no 10, let's have a little freedom. Oh! and put the tents closer together.

Field was too big last year and everyone felt the need to camp round the edge! Also suffered with other bods pitching up, not least the pikey shop! We want a field the same size as CF05.

And free beer

I enjoyed both CF's immensely, as did maria. I liked the relative intimacy of 05 and the extras, dj marquee etc of 06. Something between the two on a field the same size as 05 appeals to me. I think you can over organise things and it becomes a drill rather than a leisure pursuit. That is not a criticism, just our observations from attending both events. :D

You are probably right Rich but remember CF05 was the first, it was new and exciting, etc. There was a sort of running order at CF05 but it was a bit looser.
Last year I think the guys tried something different with workshop type things but people didn't seem that interested.
And if I am really honest the auction was too long, which is maybe why the idea is not being well received this year. That is NOT criticism just my opinion as I felt the last hour was too much and some people felt duty bound to stay.
Cougarfest should be about meeting folk with a common interest, or not as the case may be, and having fun.

You can only ever find out what works by trying it, I suppose that's what it's all about. I am so glad the event is at Billing, it is a nice venue. :D :D :D

thats all well and good forming a circle but most people had there cars in front of their tents so they could keep an eye on them, a circle would also take up too much room on the field leaving non for the Games
to be honest the marquee should go under the trees in the moddle and we could put the tents in a crescent shape in front, that way the marquee would always be the central point ,as long as the electric cables could be run there

I would father have the 05 field
it was better all round or even the 1 behind where we were

I think that C5 was an absolute blast, it was simply a whole load of silly fun and we should return back to that. I found C5 to be more spontaneous and for me, that's the key.

The main aim should be to hook up, be merry, eat to much, act the fool and chill.

Then go home feeling rather hammered.

When Dave & I turned up on the Saturday morning for CF6, most people had already been around on the night before so in that sense, it was quite difficult as a newcomer to break into a group where you know absolutely no-one. On top of that, the fact that the tents were spread out so much meant that I didn't get too know that many of my neighbours.

I had hoped to see some of the workshops, but didn't catch the one I really wanted to see as I wasn't sure where everything was supposed to happen. The field was a good location for the showers, but too large really for an initimate get together.

I did enjoy the quiz and Bob & I are well-aware that you lot are all too scared to try and take our winners' crown from us, so we're obviously going to retire undeefeated champions. I also enjoyed the auction and am still enjoying the 2 tyres and the exhaust that I never actually expected to be buying. I also enjoyed Rod vying for handbags against Jez's daughter. However, I would like us to try and take advantage of some of the things that Billing has to offer - its one of the reasons after all that we wanted to return isn't it ?

Are we able to book a block session on the go-karts ?
Can we have a mini-cruise of 20-30 cougars to 'somewhere' and back just to show off to the general public ?
and definitely up for large-scale Jenga.

And can we have that shaggy-haired guy back who fell asleep under the chairs while we shot foam discs at him on the Sunday morning :D
