Whats the difference between me and you? C1 or C2

Hi Paul
Just to Re-cap recieved what I think is C2 Alty 3 Bolt mounting (Like 2nd one in SPJMorris thread) but whats mine on the car. No point repairing this one if it's not the same as mine. So i'll take a look at what I've got.
This one from Hazel (lastchancer) needs Both bearings/Brush/Regulator and the casting with the diodes in. Any idea were i'll get the diode casting?

Bearings I bought from my local bearing manufacturer, brushes and regulator I purchased from a company in Germany that used to supply Motorcraft but Valeo were looking to buy them before covid not sure what happened after, the rectifier I sourced from a company in Michigan but they were all C1 versions, I did look at c2 but sourcing other than cheap Chinese parts was really difficult and I gave up when lowest price I could get the regulator for was $2.67 each with a minimum 100 unit order then VAT, Shipping and import duty on top
 
Has anyone here had the chance to sit in both a C1 and a C2? Just wondering how the leather seats compare in terms of comfiness. I’ve read that the C2 seats have a bit more padding and more side support, but they do look a bit plain compared to the C1’s.
 
I've had both and the C2's are definitely more supportive.
The fact C2 interiors have been much sought after by C1 owners for as long as I've been on the forum would tend to suggest they are better in one way or another.

For Europe/UK, C1s all had grey carpet and trim; C2s all had black/darker grey.
Seats were all either grey cloth (manual adjust) or black leather (electric adjust and heated), but the shape of the front seats and headrests, and the stitching pattern on all seats, changed between C1 and C2.
Also the wheel/airbag is arguably smarter on the C2, and the dials/vents get a matt silver highlight.
USA had far more options, but of course the electric seat would be wrong side for our purposes.
