what happens when you see Jason & Kully

Not yet there will be a sneaky pic of some of the effort going in tho with regards wiring and equipment if you try to add it up cost wise then you have far too much time on your hands lmao the wiring alone stands me just a tad over £500:eek:ut:(y)

Good to know i'm not the only one with too much time on my hands, according to Phil Robbo ....(y)
Like most, i love good music, and i've got my tastes, like everyone else. I like to hear my music load-ish 100db is enough for my OFS ears, but i do turn it up when i'm alone in the car, and travelling. I've never been into big "I.C.E" installs, but the setups these lads have is amazing, and are a sight to be seen close up, but heard from a distance :D:ihih:
I think the main problem or barrier with "ice installs" is that most people have an unjustified mental image of the "chavs" or "boy racer" I have to say, I have yet to meet either in ukcougar.com :nono:

Bin the zebra Rob  ........get yaself a nice bit of leopard skin :ihih::eek6:

Yes mate lol the wiring is going to take around 3-4 days to do if not a bit longer and then there are 5-6 batterys to install somewhere and wire up thats another 3-4 days gives you an idea of the scale of the new one lol but going to be a lot more adjustable and a lot more listenable to with many different options to demo to people rather than the all or nothing of the old one.

JJ

5-6 batterys :yikes::yikes::yikes:

Tha is going to be one hell of a system

Are you going to have to install a second alty to keep them charged up or will you put in an external charging point?

one 190-200 amp alternator custom mounted which should keep up ok except when giving a demo at full tilt with the whole system running but that is why there are so many batterys to keep it safe and not do damage to speakers by clipping, by daily system for want of a better description will be two subs and one set of comps in the doors the "extra's" will be turned off most of the time lol.

JJ

Dave, your welcome to all the info you like, you do know that we'll have to kill you if we tell you though lol :)

Manos!! We can do anything you like, doesn't have to be massively in your face!! Just pop over one Sunday whilst we're tearing other Cougars apart and we'll happily discuss a "stealth" install. Be nice to do a discreet one ;)

dynamat is ****... no where near thick enough. I have 4mm thick tar matting all over.
Zero guage all the way through.. battery, new loom, earths and all..

Why would I need a split charge?

I dont have a front battery anymore.. the whole car is powered from the rear pack. Mixing battery types is not good. the rears are gel where as the old battery was lead acid. They discharge at different rates so the rear battery would never see a charge.

the way we have wired the rear bank it is effectivly a huge battery and will discharge and charge at the same rate. plus the fact you cant fit one of these under the bonnet.. the old battery was 50ah the new ones are 85ah a piece

He's already got some bits kully, very nice too lol
Well, just one very nice bit of stealthy kit and some good ideas I hope.
It's a project for next year when a) I'm in the UK b) I hope to have some cash.
I had no one else but Kully and Jason in mind when the time comes to ask for ICE advice. Just as I trust Tony with the mechanicals, it's JJ and Kully for audio.
If in doubt, consult an expert.(y)

Nice one Bob you've saved us a job because that's where you battery would have ended up anyway the heat from the Turbo would have killed the plates eventually.

It would Matt this is a punto Kully and I just finished

Looking good JJ. (I always think i'm in the Cannon Ball Run when I say that ;))

I've slacked off on my instal the past couple of years, I guess at some point I got old  however there were a few things I'd thought of; Digital SQ-EQ (you know one of those ones with "Lots" of settings), extra tweeters up front, Kully's Screens (will be picking them up soon), more Bass! ....I saw your Add...made me think for a minute or two
