The UKC.COM Chris Adams Award

Good post Rich and really hits the nail on the head:

Criteria has been mentioned! There is no criteria as such, but the award is presented with the spirit of ukc as jj has already mentioned, for example, just vote for whoever you think deserves your vote regardless of any criteria.

Exactly what I thought, its not who you are or what car you drive its what you have done that I personaly think emulates the sort of person Chris was/is :D:thumbup:
The people on my list haven't directly done anything for me they just have shown themselves to be what this club is all about, one big family.

I thought that it had been established that every club member was eligible to vote and to be voted for, or have I missed something????

You have got to remember that they are quite alot of members in this club. I just thought that there might be say a first round of voting then say the top 10 go through to a final vote off. I can not see how this could be done as it would be difficult to keep track of everyones votes ?
 
There will be no short list. I will be making the post tomorrow to explain it all fully, I am drafting it now to make sure it is clear I need to make a couple of wording adjustments.

That is fair enough, I am sure you have worked out a way so that everyone can see all the members names to vote for and how to place the vote.
Looking forward to seeing this pan out now.

I have only just read about this Fabulous award....
What a great idea and tribute to a really lovely guy.. I didn't know Chris that well - but believe he would have really loved this...
I am sure that whoever wins this award this year will be honoured and privileged to receive it for whatever reason, as it shows the true spirit of this forum and the people within it... and is a great way to keep the memory of Chris alive...

Haven't been on here for a while and so pleased to see this award. Great choice guys! Chris would have been very proud, he did so much for so many and it is right he should be remembered.
 
interesting! a fair few nominations already made and not one person has been given more than one nomination so far!.

I genuinely cannot guess who will be the winner of this award.
