Pimped by the Pidmeister

Al's had an up hill battle today repairing all the damage to my front splitter, caused by the mech who MOT'd my cat. :(

It wasn't just the damage to the fibreglass, but where he'd used spray can paint in the wrong shade, to try & disguise his repair, which is a total pain to respray due to the reactions it gives. It has to be stripped right back & done again, to get a decent finish, so a lot of painstaking work involved.

I think poor Al is now well & truly cream crackered, but has finally won the battle. (y)

I'll be picking the car up tomorrow, so when I find time, I'll take some pics of it in all it's glory, to show y'all the finished look.

Thank you Al for pimping my ride!(y):)

Ok all...........the moment has finally arrived, the unveiling of all Al's tireless hard work over the last week....................behold the Sabre Toothed Cat!

(OK so maybe a bit over indulgant on the number of pics posted lol.......but I don't care!)

Thank you again Al, I hope you enjoyed taking a good hard earned rest & supping those Boddingtons, .(y)

Look up 'Happy Bunny' in the dictionary & you'll see a picture of me smiling back at you!:)

Well after a week of your cat being sat right outside my back door, in my garage etc, it's really good to see it out in the wide open spaces, where all good cats should be :) I really like the look of that.
Just a word of advice to anyone thinking of buying/fitting one of these kits, they don't just fit on, they need a lot of fettling, a LOT! but the end result is worth the effort, it's a project i have enjoyed, even if it did cost me a few early mornings and late nights
My knees feel like i've been doing squats and sit ups for a week :)
I'm pleased you like it Mark, that's what makes these things worth doing, and thanks for the little pressie, my "cougar" lighter engraved no less "Pid 16V" (y)
I managed to sit and watch the F1, Vonny timed dinner perfectly, so F1, roast beef dinner, can of bodds.........aaaaahhhh heaven!......Vonny says thankyou for the choccies, but is disappointed you didn't wear your tuxedo ........

That looks AMAZING Mark. I particularly like the image you put as your sig pic. Looks really mean and moody. I'm envious mate as i imagine a lot of other members are.

Excellent work as usual Alan (y)

Thanks for all the comments guys & mainly thanks to Al.(y)

I wasn't sure how the Drifter kit would blend with the front splitter Al had fitted previously, but I've been amazed by the transformation.

When you compare this shot, showing just the front splitter fitted, the imbalance at the front of the car is accentuated, notice the stretched appearance.

The sideskirts & rear bumper that Al has expertly fitted, tie it all together & brings everything back into alignment, giving it a far better stance.(y)

Suffice to say I am very happy with the results, which turned out even better than I had imagined..............+ added bonus, with this front splitter, instead of the Drifter front bumper, I get to keep me fogs!:)(y)

Looking great Mark , it does look good when fitted correctly and painted well , as to what tony said about V6 drifters car i have to agree pauls was totaly stitched up by the cowboy who fitted his kit and wasted time and money trying to blend the sideskirts in to the body work .... the filler was about 2 inches thick when i removed the kit for Paul , i think if Pauls car had been finished like yours he would proberly still be a cougar owner ..... i think the 1st real downer for Paul was when the lambo doors dropped and the passenger one fell off .
Great work by Mr Pid well done Al

That looks fantastic Mark - absolutely awsome mate (y)

Although green is still obviously the best colour it is quite clear that frosty's bring out the best in a body kit with all those subtle changes in tone and hew which I fear may be lost a little on a darker colour.

I must say that you are a very brave man Mark - for getting her up on the kerb in your piccies - could've done the front splitter again mate :censored:

Thanks Ian. (y)
Never met V6 Drifter or seen his car mate, but my heart goes out to anyone, who has paid all that money out for their dream car, only to get ripped off by some cowboy, that's disgusting!:cautious:

Great looking cat ther sabretooth.
Did you buy the kit less front? or do you have the front?
Another great job Al!!
Thanks Gav.(y)
No mate, I didn't want to go buying something I didn't need............I'm not loaded ya know!

Thanks Iain(y) I agree, you can see the attraction of the frosty, particularly when you add a few more lines, curves & vents, they all show up so well as you say. It still looks great on all the other colours too though. :)

As for getting up the kerb, I reversed very s-l-o-w-l-y & made sure I'd got some bits of wood at the ready when I drove back off, no probs so far, the car isn't any lower at the front, which is the easiest to clatter.

Nice looking motor Mark. I'm not great at the descriptive stuff, but imo it's got a stance with attitude now (y)
!
Thanks Al (y). I'm sure the car itself likes the new kit, every time I look at it, it's got this huge beaming grin....................................or is that just my reflection?:)
