I'm quite expecting 250,000 miles before I retire her probably in five years time if the dreaded rust does not interfere, I quite agree with you a well maintained and importantly a used car will last, but the Amazon sits outside in all weather, the car park at work is salted every night in the winter and wear and tear will accumulate in Time, little things at the moment but they do add up over time unfortunately.I think you're being needlessly pessimistic.
A well-used and well-maintained car will last far longer than that. There's a taxi driver in London who runs an honest-to-God Mk1 Mondy that's got over half a million on it.
I think our friend here has a lovely low-miler here, but she needs to run and be the best Cougar she can be. Fresh oil. Belts. A critical eye at all the balljoints and transmission mounts. Because tiny mileage is absolutely no better than high mileage. And high mileage is absolutely not worse.
Your Amazon has decades left in her.... she just needs the will and the effort.
Yes it's a fact unfortunately that cars wear out, true they can be restored again and again with enough money, expertise and patience but I have none of that now so just enjoying my time with a very special thing and hopefully others will be doing the sameDeath by a thousand cuts, right?
You will for certain!!Well I don't know about you, but I'm not angry about it.
I do want to see this beautiful girl stretching her legs though.
