Something for everyone

Great day out with brilliant people and cars to die for, nice to see some new faces and the usual friends

Somehow managed not to take any pics which was a little annoying but as others have shown the club stand looked awesome, great job Matt and a good pitch this year, in amongst it all

Proud to be a part of such an interesting and chilled out day and club, thank you all for making it so

Looks like a great day, nice to see so many cougs out, club stand looking great guys well done to all involved in organising it.
Crackin' photos too.
I have a question, the blue cougar T535UOS can anyone tell me who that is or more specifically what grille type it is ? The grille is exactly how I want mine to look - it looks like a standard grille with the diamond mesh but with the cougar logo instead of Ford logo. Currently mine just has the round cougar logo replacing the ford logo on the original grille, and you can still see sides of the ford oval. Ta.

So here's the cars that stood out to me from the rest of the stands, some awesome metal here:

not to my taste but this Escort cab looks to have had a fortune spent on it

Essex boys favourite!

loving the wheels on this Cos, very nicely done

tastefully modded mk2

Tried to find the owner of this but was nowhere to be seen, looks well executed this:

nice mantelpiece!

love this

this has been around for a few years now, come on TC you can do better than this :)

24V Cosworth engined Sierra was a work of art

getting hard to find a nice Puma now, no worries with this one

the Mk1 was the best looking Capri by far I think

split rims on a mint three door look amazing

loads of Escort Cossies there but this one just screamed quality

Group B monster

showroom condition RS Turbo Fiesta had to be seen to believe how clean it was

Early S1 RS Turbo

My first car!!, owner says he prefers driving this to his RS4 - high praise indeed!

very mean looking Ka - well as mean as a Ka can look!

old school fords - when did mk2 fiesta become old school? oh yeah that's right I just got older......

RS500 club

loads of people were talking about this car, RS500 number 499 in absolute showroom condition, believed to be the last one existing, saw this on eBay recently, owner is asking for...

£75,000 :eek::eek:

Ka not fast enough? fine stick a Cossie lump in it!

Jap influenced fiesta running airbags was stupidly low

something about this uber clean mk1 Fiesta

lose the Laguna splitter?

old and new generation looked stunning in orange

mint Mexico was amazing in the metal

nice line up of RS Focues (Focii?)

shine on this Mustang is a mile deep...

Chrome focus makes a nice mirror!

last of all....extremely rare lotus twin cam Mk1 Escort was clean enough to eat your dinner off
(nice reflection of yours truly in the bumper!)

Some drool inducing metal for sure, these photos and more are all at the below flickr link:

If thats the same one we saw while on walkabout, i have no idea who owns it but, if the oval overlays is what you're after, look HERE

That'll be me :)

I think what you're after is a US spec grille (the Cougar is branded as Mercury rather than Ford over there and that's the front grille they have fitted). They do come up for sale on here from time to time - failing that try over on NECO (www.newcougar.org) as our american friends like to ditch the cougar head grilles in favour of Ford ones (y)

A great selection of pics so far chaps (particularly Steve's set - some great shots there) (y)

Here's some of mine (didn't take so many this year)

Iain and Jackie probably wondering if Phoenix would get them home (she didn't) :(

Al managed to run someone over while not even in the car

IMG_2576.jpg

I wonder which club stand this one was?

IMG_2577.jpg

The gents of UKC made a superhuman effort to resolve Phoenix's severe running problems:

Sadly, to no avail :(

Mark keeping an eye on his alloys

She may have gone home on the back of an AA truck, but she was sporting the long awaited new sunstrip fitted by Al :)

Who parked that Mondeo Estate there? (Mondeo coupes only please) ;)

beside all those modded Cougars mine looked positively.....standard

Cheers to John for not getting my new 'detachable' number plate :)

At least Mad dog will do it tastefully, the car demonstrates grandad modding at it worst, it reminds me of the stuff that they used to do to Mk III, IV and V cortinas in the 80's, which looked awful back then. This person needs the 'less is more' approach. You have to admire the trailer for what it is but he doesn't seem to know when to stop with the add ons imo.

I wouldn't normally be over-critical of someone else's work, but in my opinion, that license plate is missing a letter 'A'.

I knew the original owner when I was a member of the Orion Register, credit to him for the conversion especialy as he was half lame like Mark is now :D but yeah I think the mods were done on the cheap, I used to be a fan of that style of modding myself, you get a little carried away in Halfords ;)

Hi, yeah I thought the US ones that were diamond patterned were C2 grilles and needed cutting off to fit the C1 lights, whilst the US C1 grille didn't have the diamond pattern. I have never seen a grille with diamond pattern and round cougar badge that fitted straight onto C1. Is yours a cut-down US C2 grille ?
Cheers
