My Golf.

I really miss it sometimes. I've not quite 'got' the Cougar yet as I did with the Golf. Plus the Golf's a hell of a lot better put together :smile5:. I'm sometimes tempted to put it back on the road, just because of all the fun times that were had in it, and I never had to watch the fuel guage.

Well mine has to be my old Rover 214 SEi with half leather interior and a very zippy 1.4 K series engine...unfortunately it was repossessed! :sad:

MK 1 Facelift Capri 1.6 GT XLR. Emerald green. Black vinyl roof. Plastic rear window slats (remember them ?:LOL:) .Twin webber carbs and that oh so long bonnet. Had it in my 20s and i still miss her now :yesnod:
 
i know what you mean about the golfs build quality Buxton, I have a cabriolet mk3 sitting in my garage waiting for some nice weather, it feels very slow compared to the big cat and doesnt have any toys, but the build quality is fantastic,

With it, you could drive slow and smoothly and no one would think different. With the Cat, I like the speed, but when I get overtaken by vans when I'm simply cruising it's a bit embarrassing.
 
Sorry, I've never liked the Golf, though I can appreciate it's attraction, for me it's just too bland(this coming from someone who had 4 Mondeos lol). Good link though, before my Cat I had a Ka, slow, but bloody good fun. :D
 
Prob my gold 1973 Capri 2.0 GT facelift. Wrapped it around a lampost in a car park one night and put her back together again but had to sell it for deposit on out first house :sad:....women.
