Seriously I've sorted out a list of Jobs & Mods for 2010

Pipe dream: 18's, 4x4 conversion :LOL::LOL::LOL::LOL:

Well put the 2nd coat on today ....no not that one ;) (too hot for coats) not good weather for painting, too warm, went through two brushes, good job it only cost me £1.99 for 5

all going well until....Disaster!!!....... had the passenger side alloy resting against the kerb and managed to drop it onto the kerb on its FACE :mad2::mad2::mad2: DOH! scratched the paint off:mad5:

Its a good job I'm going to re-spray them or I'd be most un-happy :nono: (not that I'm not anyway :incazzato:)

Just of interest the alloys are 6.5J x 16 ET46 offset

Good taste- those are what i was looking at before service!

Inovite do a similar design inovite hyper or something but not in 4x108! They were dirt cheap too!

Looking good there Ginja - some :cool: sounding mods planned mate :D

How do you find resprayed wheels? Are the finish and durability up to the job?

Well after about a year there was some paint chips, I think if you had it done profesionaly then it would probably last longer, I think the brake dust and the chemicala I've used to clean them with has gradualy eroded the laquer. I'll probably need to use some sort of filler primer on the scratch I've just made, otherwise it wont be up to the same level as the rest of the paint, unless I re-spray the whole wheel. Most chips are around the center caps were over eager mechanics and tyre fitters have had the center cap off to change the wheel etc.
This is what they looked like when I 1st painted them [May 2008]

Graphite Grey Metalic & Satin Black

Oh I've mentioned a wing like yours, it would be similar to the one on this Cougar

Yes I've seen them on eBay. My current debt mountain stops me from buying stuff like that for the time being (check out my garage and you will see why I've got no cash :()

That rear wing in carbon will look fantastic!! Also love the look of the touring car style wings in CF.

Think the carbon corner splitters (3rd link) would look the best - worth buying the cheap ones till you get used to them being on the car before buying the expensive ones though

Genuine CF battery cover (will also do custom stuff :wink5:)

Keep up the good work fella - real men use Carbon Fibre (y)

I think your old man Mr Robbo snr*....;) has the same Battery cover that my link goes to, it is the correct size for my battery too. Only problem with a real one is Carbon fiber conducts electricity! (the other one is plastic)

Yeah the wing would look similar to yours, Did see a smaller looking one like the Tourning cars one but not as big as say Pauls (TRAX, 4 tailpipes) in Halfords once, think it was universal fit.

Those corner splitters do go up in price once you start looking a real CF its well expensive, something to do with Airbus 380's being made out of the stuff
my old escort had the Carbon effect corner splitters fitted, granted it don't look half as good as the Cougar ;)

And my Orion had a silly wing and a DTM style splitter fitted

Not gonna go the fiber glass route again its either metal or Carbon fiber

*I'll get stabbed for that*

Leave the rubber terminal covers on ;)

Yeah, CF tends to be a bit pricey :eek6: - worth it though, if only for the "why's your spoiler black? cos its carbon fibre. [totally blank look in reply]" conversation

 that wasn't a link Al .....but it is now

Mr Pid - for those strange in-line four type engines  -

http://www.carbonmods.co.uk/Products/Carbon-Fibre-Zetec-Engine-Cover-Insert__CMZETECECI.aspx

Their stuffs top notch - very helpfull as well. Custom stuff can take a while but quallity is exceptional.

Thanks guys, I'm thinking of re-spraying my cam cover, and CF plug cover would go well with the new mod (y)

Exceptionally refined engines these little zetec's :wink5:
