Well after missing several local steam rallies this year we decided to go to one down at Cirencester today. Excellent lineup of steam engines, tractors, buses, lorries, loads of classic cars (and jet-powered model aircraft)

However, I wasn't expecting THIS to be the first vehicle I saw

They (the ones in your pic) look like they've come off a large van, mounted the wrong side out.

I also notice that they're 5-stud, meaning that they actually had to change the hubs just to fit those wheels. I admire the dedication but...oh god.

More common than you'd think. Cheap, (mostly) reliable, inexpensive and fun car. This guy did the Gumball 3000 for charity last year:

He bought it just for the run, but kept it afterward. It was originally Silver Frost, in case you were wondering, ("Is a zebra a black horse with white stripes, or...")

I'm not the handiest person, but somehow one of the most curvaceous and sleek cars has been turned into a hideous boxy travesty.
